Smart Biking - Xavier University

Join Bike Easy's safety instructors to learn how to feel safe and confident on the road in any traffic situation.
Thursday, September 26, 5:30 - 8:30 PM (Classroom)
Saturday, September 28, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (On-bike/classroom)

Students will learn about choosing a bicycle, basic parts of a bike, essential equipment, as well as how to safely and comfortably ride your bike in various traffic conditions, terrain and climates.

Participants will receive a copy of the League of American Bicyclists' Guide to Smart Cycling.

The class will culminate in a Smart Cycling exam and those who pass the test and complete all sessions will be awarded a Smart Cycling certificate*.

Graduates will eligible to join our team of bike safety education volunteers, as well as become eligible to go on to take the LCI seminar to be able to work for Bike Easy as a League Certified Instructor.

Please note a bike and helmet will be required for the class. Contact [email protected] if you are not able to bring your own for the class.

On the following page after RSVPing, please indicate if you would like to bring your own bicycle, or use a blue bike for the class.

*The Smart Cycling Certificate will certify you as having completed the per-requisite class to become eligible to sign up for the seminar to become an League Cycling instructor.
