VOLUNTEER TO BUILD SUPPORT FOR PROTECTED BIKEWAYS & COMPLETE STREETS
In 2020, Bike Easy and the New Orleans Complete Streets Coalition are going door-to-door, making calls, and showing up in neighborhoods all over town to build support for improvements to the ways we move around New Orleans and the region.
We need your help in reaching out to friends, neighbors, and local businesses so that every New Orleanian understands the need for more safety and less stress on our city streets and sidewalks.
We're supporting the work being done by The City of New Orleans to improve our safety and access while driving, walking, biking, or riding the bus, ferry, or streetcar. We're especially excited by Mayor Cantrell's 'Moving New Orleans' low-stress bikeway network! Work on the network has already begun, with the goal of 75 miles of improvements to be installed this year alone! Construction is underway in Algiers and scheduled to begin this spring in neighborhoods across the east bank of New Orleans.
